As our business continues to grow, we are looking for talented and dedicated operations professionals to join our team The Finance Manager is a crucial role that contributes to the overall success and financial wellbeing of the organization.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

In collaboration with all members of the Finance Department and under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer (or designate), the Finance Manager performs a wide range of duties, including the following:

- Financial Management_
- Oversee the end-to-end financial operations of the firm
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance financial discipline and maturity
- Establish relationships with external partners including banks, corporate lawyers, and law societies
- Team Leadership_
- Lead and manage a team of accounting clerks and finance professionals
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to team members
- Strategic Thinking_
- Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making
- Process Enhancement_
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance department
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes
- Operational Excellence_
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial laws
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Learning and Innovation_
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in finance
- Encourage a culture of curiosity and exploration within the finance team to discover new ways of working

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or other)
- Proven experience in financial management with progressive financial responsibility, preferably within a professional services industry
- Full cycle accounting experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and enhance financial maturity
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
