Responsibilities:
Our Industrial Equipment Group is currently looking for a full time
**Dispatcher** for our London, ON branch. This position is first shift, M - F, and hourly (no flat rate). The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

- Scheduling and coordinating shipments of products to customers. May be required to arrange for pickups, delivery times, and routes for transportation**.**:

- Prioritizing and managing the workload of the service technician to ensure each technician’s optimization.
- Issuing service work order to technicians and work with them to prepare quote and order part in complete the work in a timely manner.
- Assisting setting up trucks, service contracts and other service-relation items in our system.
- Arrange for pick-up and delivery of trucks for repair and return.
- Communicating effectively with peers, internal and external customers on the status of service work and all other related items.
- Process and receive purchase order in our system.
- Work with parts department for parts ordering to ensure service is completed.
- Issuing of purchase order for ordering 3 party items.
- Assist with opening and dispatching of work orders of others.
- Using report to manage the workload of the service technicians.
- Monitor and track deliveries to ensure they arrive on time and without damage.

Qualifications:

- Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
- Two years of previous experience is highly desired.
- Excellent record keeping
- Reliable/Trustworthy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Being able to work independently, as well as in teams.
- Excel in being able to represent the brand and the organization.

**Physical Demands/Work Environment**:

- Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands; Frequently will talk/hear; Occasionally will sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Vision: No special vision requirements.
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift 11 to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift from 26 to 100 plus pounds
- Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions; Occasionally will work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), extreme cold and heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, vibration
