**Position summary**

A focal point of contact, the Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA), Immigration, and Records is accountable for the management of key functions and teams within HR Services. As the leader and senior expert they oversee people, strategy, and operational leadership promoting service excellence and operational performance.

Direct Reports: 2 Immigration Consultants, 1 Recall Advisor, 3 TA Coordinators, 2 Records Assistants.

In all facets of this role, the Manager endeavors to integrate and advance the University’s commitments to equity, diversity and inclusivity

**Duties**
- **People Leadership**:build and maintain a collaborative team through guidance, training, and mentorship, motivating them to provide excellent service, achieve desired outcomes, and ensure efficient operational execution.
- **Strategic & Operational Leadership**:Develop, implement, and continue to improve upon strategy and operational effectiveness for all business functions within scope of responsibility.
- _Operational excellence_: Oversee existing operational standards and processes and lead development and implementation of new ones as necessary.
- _Service Excellence_: Manage the service provided by each team to ensure alignment with established timeline and service level expectations.
- _Continuous improvement_: leverage data, research, and expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement processes to support service delivery.
- _Technology management_: Ensure the effective utilization and operations of systems, workflows, tools, integrations, optimization, and user adoption.
- _Stakeholder management_: build trusted relationships with cross functional leaders, vendors, partners, centres of excellence, faculties and colleges.
- **Records**: Accountable for the maintenance of a structured and effective electronic records management solution, ensuring the information is compliant, retrievable, authentic, and accurate. Responsible for effective lifecycle management, organization, retention and disposal of employee records in the University of Alberta record management system, in both paper and electronic forms.
- **Compliance**:Develop, implement and promote comprehensive and integrated record keeping policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation for Immigration and Records.
