The Manager, Operations and Administrative Services provides administrative, operational and financial management for the Faculty of Applied Sciences - Office of the Dean. The Manager directs the day-to-day operational management of the Office of the Dean. The Manager manages the administration support team supporting the administrative activities for the office. Serves as a central resource for the Office of the Dean in the Faculty of Applied Sciences in the areas of procurement, renovations, facilities, and operational requirements. The Manager is also responsible for establishing strong relationships with managers, staff, and faculty to ensure effective, coordinated and integrated services, processes and procedures for a multi-unit operation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and three years of related experience, including administrative coordination/office management and project management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of university policies, procedures, protocol and governance.
- Advanced team leadership, supervisory and mentorship skills.
- Excellent planning and project coordination skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex information into reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines and work on a number of different initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information and material with discretion Ability to exercise mature judgment, initiative, diplomacy and tact Ability to interpret policies and to develop recommendations.
- Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where issues are diverse and complex.
- Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations as required.
