**COMMITTEE SECRETARY**:
The Executive Office and Commission Secretariat Branch is looking for a Committee Secretary for an indeterminate position. The position is classified as a RÉ-05 $68,641 to $91,072 per annum. (2021 rates - salary under review).

**JOB OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Chief, Commission Secretariat, you will provide secretarial services for NCC’s committees, organize committee meetings, maintain a formal record of the committee discussions, and advise and assist NCC staff in the preparation of submissions. You will provide advise to committee members and support the Chief Commission secretariat on committee related matters.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**: A degree from a post-secondary institution in a field related to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

**EXPERIENCE**:Three to five years of experience in each of the following areas.- Writing and editing reports, minutes, briefs or memoranda in both official languages.
- Providing high level quality client services to client.
- Organizing meetings for committees such as established meeting schedule, manages requests and coordinates preparation of agendas.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Of the roles, responsibilities and duties required for the proper functioning of committees.
- Of the accepted procedures in the conduct of meetings (Robert’s rules of order) and the drafting of minutes.

**ABILITIES**
- To effectively organize and compile technical discussions, meetings and submissions.
- To analyze problems and implement timely and precise solutions.
- To work on various projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing demands.
- To establish priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- To communicate effectively verbally and in writing and deliver presentations in both official languages.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance;
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual CCC;
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario;
- The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
