The Legal and Development Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and coordination functions of the Legal, Franchising, and Non-Traditional (Express) teams. This position collects, organizes, and enters data into the applicable databases and systems. As the Legal and Development Coordinator you’ll bring legal administration experience preferably from a Franchised organization and a client-oriented, professional approach supported by excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Legal and Development Coordinator, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administrative tasks related to Legal/Commercial Leasing, Non-Traditional (Express), and Franchising including:
- Non-Traditional (Express) store life cycle coordination and administration (preapproval, approval, store creation, announcements, etc.)
- With the assistance of the team, negotiate, draft, review and amend commercial leases and lease documents, sublease agreements, lease surrenders and renewals.
- Site, selection, identification, market identification, PiinPoint analysis and other tasks as assigned.
- Corporate filing such as corporate registrations.
- Data entry and maintenance of various systems.
- Providing demographic studies as requested.
Coordination of Non-Traditional Partner pricing and sales data, including to but not limited to:
- Collaborating with various departments, like Finance, Procurement, IT, to gather data in a timely manner.
- Time sensitive coordination and communication of quarterly product lists and pricing for the Express team.
- Ongoing maintenance of partner price lists and product lists.
- Ensuring all Non-Traditional (Express) Partners product listing requirements are met and communicated to the partner in a timely manner.
- Collecting sales data from all Non-Traditional (Express) partners and consolidating it into a standard usable format.
- Leads the Non-Traditional (Express) pricing and product listing relationship with our logistics partner, GFS.
- Communicate with and provide information to Franchise and Non-Traditional Partners on lease situations and business terms.
- Enhance departmental processes where possible to facilitate workflow and keep all parties informed.
**Experience, Education, and Designations**:
- 4+ years previous experience in a legal/development role with specific experience in commercial leasing and/or franchising is preferred.
- Exposure to Real Estate and/or Corporate and/or Franchising and/or Leasing law are required.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes**:
- Fluent in both English and French (Bilingual) REQUIRED
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Extremely organized and diligent with follow-up and detail
- Strong technical skills using MS Office and advanced excel skills
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and multitask.
