**About the Opportunity**:
The Evaluation and Performance Measurement Specialist is a member of the Maritime SPOR Support Unit (MSSU), serving research teams across the Maritimes. As member of the multidisciplinary team, the Specialist enhances the Unit’s program evaluation capacity, contributes to reporting and accountability mechanisms, and promotes a high quality, responsive customer service model. MSSU engages with patients from across the Maritimes and collaborates with the research community on governance, priority setting, and the planning and conducting of research.

Reporting to the Director, MSSU, the Evaluation and Performance Measurement Specialist has primary responsibility to support the mission, vision and strategic directions of the MSSU by identifying and leading the establishment and implementation of performance measurement and evaluation tools that can be used to measure research impact, collaboration, and organizational performance. The Evaluation and Performance Measurement Specialist develops, recommends, and supports the implementation of program evaluation mechanisms for measuring reach and effectiveness of public sector programs and patient engagement.
Supporting the transition to a customer service model, the Evaluation and Performance Measurement Specialist develops indicators, feedback mechanisms, and outcome measures.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in a health related field, informatics required
- Master’s degree in a health related field, informatics mathematics/statistics, or business preferred
- A minimum of 3 years related experience with a Master's degree or 5 years experience with a Bachelor's degree required
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience and demonstrated expertise in performance metrics, program evaluation preferred
- Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) professional designation of Credentialed Evaluator (CE) an asset
- Demonstrated experience in a responsive, customer-oriented model of service delivery
- Broad knowledge of the Health Research landscape, particularly with regard to patient-oriented research
- Broad knowledge of the Health Care system and the continuum of care, current health system issues, trends, policy and legislation
- Ability to produce professional reports and presentation materials
- Possess critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- English language proficiency required, French considered an asset
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and foster relationships with all levels of administrative and clinical management
- Ability to handle leaders, managers and teams regarding sensitive and confidential matters
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
