**Job Description**:
**Major Responsibilities**:

- Analyze in detail the initial Project and program of work schedule provided by client and confirm understanding of specific activity relationships, durations, interdependencies, and sequencing for the tasks
- Understand time contingencies in relation with the degree of work complexity and historical weather-related work-stoppages.
- Familiar with predecessor, successor, and dependent activities, float per activity. Do not use relationship lags, but instead, use activities to mark the delay between the completion of one activity and its successor.
- Prepare detailed, summary, and master schedules (network logic diagrams and bar charts) for all work and its design elements for the Project. Indicate the Critical Path for project delivery and suggest options for optimizing the delivery of services.
- Is able to make provision for installation of pieces of existing scientific equipment. These are referred to as Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI). The Scheduler must indicate critical dates by which installation specifications are required to avoid delays.

The Scheduler must be able to:

- Actively Monitor the performance of the work.
- On a monthly basis and working with the Project Team, update the detailed schedule and submit as part of the Project’s monthly progress report.
- Prepare a written monthly narrative progress summary based on the detailed schedule, detailing the work performed to date, comparing work progress to planned, and presenting current forecasts.
- Include a criticality report listing all activities and milestones with negative, zero and up to five (5) days total float used as a first sort for ready identification of the critical, or near critical paths through the entire Project.
- List early and late start and finish dates, together with durations, codes and float for the critical activities.
- Summarize the progress to date, explaining current and possible deviations and delays with respect to the detailed schedule and Critical Path. The report must include assessment of progress against Project objectives and Project milestones.
- Demonstrated record of successful cost management on large construction projects

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
University Degree + eight (8) years of relevant experience in Project Scheduling, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

**Preferred Requirements**:
Prefer fifteen (15)+ years of experience in Project Scheduling, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Experience working on Science &Technology buildings (laboratories and research areas and facilities) is an asset.
