**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:

- Oversee all activities related to the development, implementation, and adherence to data privacy policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and international privacy laws, including GDPR, PIPA, PIPEDA, and CASL.
- Develop a roadmap for entering new markets while maintaining privacy and security standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate compliance risks and promote innovation.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and privacy and security awareness initiatives.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain a centralized repository of agreements and certifications.

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Advanced degree or certification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role within Compliance and Data Protection.
- Direct experience with GDPR and other global data protection regulations.
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and make informed decisions.
- Comfortable working on a diverse team and giving/receiving feedback.
- Results-oriented, process-driven, and capable of prioritizing conflicting demands.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a passion for solving real-world problems.
