**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This position is responsible for supporting the department’s education and training programs and related processes and procedures, including advancing digital transformation training-related activities, applicable certification/licensing programs, compulsory course curriculum, and internal ad-hoc/in-house programs. Supports and coordinates the department’s learning and development needs and programs to ensure they are consistent with relevant legislation, regulations, and corporate standards.
**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
- Collaborates/works with stakeholders and follows the corporate strategic leadership, planning and direction related to this function.
- Support and advance Public Works’ cultural transformation as a leading digital utility through a people-centric focus, process improvements, and data-driven insights.
- In conjunction with Senior Management, develops and executes the departmental leadership strategy.
- Develops the digital learning strategic plan including the development, implementation, and integration of digital learning.
- Anticipates, identifies, and manages emerging issues, challenges, and opportunities.
- Researches, identifies analyzes, and evaluates trends emerging learning and development related technologies, trends and methods that can support departmental programs and implements best practices and approaches.
- Ensures the provision and promotion of a digital culture through creative, innovative, and agile learning interventions.
- Leads learning and development projects, including the research, design, and development.
- Participates in development and/or implementation of organizational change initiatives including championing change management strategies'
- Leads the collection of data to track progress and identify program improvements for the purpose of conducting leadership and talent program evaluations and assessments.
- Leads the research and analysis on pertinent issues and trends for management to make informed program and policy decisions.
- Monitors and evaluates program delivery to meet goals and objectives of the Branch and the Department while ensuring that standards are met and follow governing legislation.
