The **Program Lead** supports the planning and delivery of HEC’s programs, collaborative education and improvement initiatives; conducts literature reviews and environmental scans, evaluation, and analysis (including data analysis and interpretation); prepares reports, briefing notes, and other program documents; and coordinates meetings and events.

Currently, there are positions available in the following programs:
**Patient Safety, Equity & Engagement (Permanent Full-Time)**:The Patient Safety, Equity, and Engagement team (PSEE) is a collaborative team that aims to embed foundational and interrelated elements of patient safety, equity, and engagement into the work across Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC) and to support capacity building in health systems across Canada. Working together with patients, caregivers, and communities, health providers and leaders, and other system partners, the PSEE team builds our work from ‘rethinking patient safety’, co-development of a health equity framework, and guidance through a co-design process to embed consistent and meaningful engagement practices at HEC. We aim to make explicit the intersections of safety, equity, and engagement through numerous learning opportunities internal and external to HEC including Canadian Patient Safety Week and virtual learning series, and the development of resources and tools that will support meaningful improvements across health systems that matter most to those who receive and provide care. As a Program Lead on the PSEE team, you bring content knowledge and experience in patient safety, together with equity and/or engagement and a desire to work collaboratively to bring forward the intersections of patient safety, equity, and engagement in work across HEC.

**Leadership Programs (Permanent Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time)**:Working closely with valued partners and stakeholders, the Leadership Programs team at HEC enables healthcare leaders and teams across Canada to enhance their ability to make healthcare improvements and to sustain them. The program builds leadership and organizational capacity to spread and scale quality and safety initiatives that contribute to healthcare transformation. The Leadership Programs team leads HEC programming targeted to healthcare leaders including:

- EXTRA: Executive Training Program
- HEC Leaders Forum
- Effective Governance for Quality and Patient Safety.

**Strategic Initiatives & Programs (Permanent Full Time)**:The Strategic Initiatives and Program team is responsible for identifying and developing initiatives, and programming in alignment with HEC’s strategy, priority themes and lines of business; with a particular focus on the care of older adults with health and social needs. This work includes scanning and scoping to understand emerging issues and priorities to inform program development and taking stock of current assets, and available evidence to test and refine ideas for programming through strategic initiatives and partnerships and development of HEC’s innovation pathway. The Strategic Initiatives and Programs team also leads different HEC programming in partnership with stakeholders and partners from across the country with the objective of supporting novel, scalable, and innovative initiatives that have a high probability of measurable impact, within HEC’s strategy focus area(s).

**Your core responsibilities include**:

- Conducts regular analyses of team participation and deliverables including attending webinars and education sessions to monitor and respond to collaborative teams.
- Supports the project management of HEC’s programs, including design and delivery of project timelines, milestones, activities, tracking, and monitoring to ensure proper follow up and completion of deliverables.
- Analyzes, synthesizes, and/or creates summary report of deliverables submitted by the collaborative project teams.
- Participates on team coaching and program faculty calls; maintains meeting minutes with concise summaries and action items.
- Updates, maintains, and monitors the electronic platform of resources available to collaborative teams that support their improvement efforts to ensure information is current and to stimulate conversation across the teams.
