**What will you do?**

Working in collaboration with our established Edmonton team, you will be providing valuable services to unemployed Albertans. You will be responsible for providing day to day leadership to staff and fostering collaborative relationships with existing services/programs while developing new service streams/offerings.
- Supervise and coordinate staff:

- Coordinate team, schedules, workloads and caseloads to make sure tasks are completed on time and to a high quality
- Provide guidance and support to the team with complex client and/or employer and workplace training situations
- Support the Program Manager in hiring and onboarding new staff
- Provide daily support for staff with client concerns and questions
- Provide back-up support to front line staff
- Assist the Program Manager with maintaining funder relationships, contract deliverables, outcomes, and reporting
- Community Outreach:

- Promote services as necessary and work to drive appropriate client volumes to help achieve program outcomes
- Participate in working groups, committees and community presentations to promote the program across Alberta
- Assist in organizing and managing events in collaboration with Workforce Advisors

**What does it take to do this job?**
- A post-secondary education, (equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered)
- 1-2 years’ leadership or supervisory experience required
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation software; advanced proficiency with internet, online, and social media platforms
- Exceptional oral communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of and experience using career exploration tools and websites, with the ability to assist clients in synthesizing and analyzing information to develop realistic action plans and job targets
- Experience accessing local labour market information and tools
- Elevated written communication and content development experience
- Experience leading/facilitating different formats of meetings, workshops and presentations to various audiences of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to create analytical reports, develop and utilize spreadsheets
- Knowledge/experience/exposure/education working with varying populations (unemployed, low income, mental health, youth)

**Further Notes**:

- Travel is required for this role throughout Alberta. A valid driver’s license is required.
- All employees must be flexible to work from the office as well as from home based on the program needs
