**Department Overview**
- Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) manages TD Bank's Canadian and USP&C's non-trading market risk, Funds Transfer Pricing, consolidated liquidity risk (trading and non-trading) and capital positions. In addition, TBSM operates the Bank's funding, securitization, and capital management programs, and is responsible for the Bank's investment portfolios.
- The Asset Liability Management (ALM) team within TBSM is responsible for designing strategies to hedge non-trading market rate risk in the Bank. The team also partners with the Market Risk Measurement and Analytics (MRMA) team to ensure appropriate measurement of market risk in the banking book. The team's mandate includes:

- Development and performance of effective ALM management strategies,
- Design of the target interest rate and foreign exchange sensitivity profile,
- Development and maintenance of the Non-Trading Market Risk policy framework,
- Ensuring appropriate measurement of market risk in the banking book
- The Manager, ALM Strategic Initiatives, reports directly to the Senior Manager, ALM Strategic Initiatives. This role will be responsible for supporting the TDS IRRBB Project, CDOR Transition project and supporting upcoming ALM initiatives.- The manager will also support the Hedge Accounting workstream within the CDOR Transition Project. They will support the Senior Manager/business product owner within an Agile-based development environment. They will be responsible for assisting with required development of and updates to hedge accounting systems and processes, such that they are integrated within Treasury's new model libraries, interest curves and the Canoe platform, and most importantly, are ready to accommodate successor benchmark rates. Throughout this development, the Manager will also assist and/or facilitate all required testing of the newly built functionalities (unit and end to end testing). The Manager will also assist in the preparation of required materials for the TBSM CDOR Transition Executive Steering Committee. The incumbent will be expected to keep abreast of all industry and regulatory developments, as well as having to participate, from time to time, in BRR/CDOR transition-related committee meetings and working groups with partners from across the Bank.

In keeping with these requirements, the incumbent will need to foster strong relationships with senior members of various areas across TBSM and the broader TDBG. These relationships will be key to developing understanding, resolving issues and implementing change.**Job Requirements**
- Specific Accountabilities- Coordinate and liaise with Technology partners in the implementation of all required changes
- Prepare reporting to capture all updates to TBSM and TD stakeholders, as needed
- Stay informed of all related industry development and perform detailed analysis on ongoing impacts arising from evolving industry or regulatory guidance and direction
- Ongoing consideration for ways to improve project delivery

Specific Educational Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Math is required, a graduate level degree is preferred
- CPA designation (preferred, but not required)
- CFA (preferred, but not required)

Other Qualifications / Skills / Expertise:
- Strong financial instruments background with relevant technical and valuation experience
- Capital markets experience, and good knowledge of derivative and cash products
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with Senior Management
- Excellent project management, analytical and problem-resolution and consensus building skills
- Must be able to think conceptually (“out-of-the-box”) and have a high degree of attention for detail
- Proactive and highly motivated individual with an inquisitive mind who will take the initiative and who can work independently and in a team environment
