We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Intern to join our legal team. As a paralegal intern, you will assist Legal Counsel and experienced paralegals in various matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Paralegal Studies intern to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional legal environment. Your responsibilities as an intern may vary depending on the needs of the legal team, and you will be involved in both business-critical and administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to prepare legal documents, perform research, and communicate with various business lines in the organization to track contractual and regulatory compliance.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Manage internal files and projects;
- Draft pleadings and contracts;
- Research legal issues;
- Maintain deadlines;
- File court documents;
- Assist in trials, hearings and mediations as needed by Legal Counsel;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including management;
- Present internal CLEs for internal departments; and
- Help with administrative tasks.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Enrolled in a paralegal diploma or certificate program at a recognized BC institution;
- Eligible for or currently holding a BC Paralegal Association Membership;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Highly organized, attentive to detail and has the ability to prioritize efficiently;
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to meet and communicate important deadlines;
- Ability to deal with confidential and business sensitive information;
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and in a team environment;
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative;
- Proficient in MS Office and Outlook;
