Since 1976, Tarion has provided new home warranty protection to more than 2 million Ontario homes. We serve new home buyers and new homeowners by ensuring that one of their life's biggest investments is protected. Almost every new home in the province is covered by a new home warranty. This warranty protection is provided by Ontario's builders and lasts up to seven years. It is backstopped by Tarion. More than 375,000 homes are currently enrolled in the warranty program. Every year about 55,000 new homes are enrolled.

A home is one of life's biggest purchases. As an independent, not-for-profit organization, Tarion provides Ontario's new home buyers and owners with peace of mind that their purchase is safeguarded through the province's new home warranty and protection program.

Almost every new home in the province is covered by a new home warranty. Tarion ensures consumer protection by providing free tools, guides and resources to help homeowners understand their builder's warranty and navigate warranty claims with confidence.
If a builder does not meet their warranty commitments, Tarion offers guidance to help homeowners ensure they receive the coverage they're entitled to, and when necessary, steps in to help resolve warranty claims.
- This is a hybrid role requiring working two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remotely, per week._

**About the Role**

The Business Process Analyst role is responsible for managing production support items and assisting with department projects and policy initiatives. In this position you will identify issues and create Jira tickets advising our IS team what the issue is to resolve the matter. In addition, the position requires you to keep track of all requests, prioritize and participate in the testing of the resolution. You will act as the resource person for system changes related to o Underwriting and department projects. This position also entails maintaining data quality and integrity as well as maintaining system process documentation and training material for the Underwriting department.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Gather, review and analyze business requirements for system improvements within the Underwriting department
- Work closely with the IS department for production support related matters and process improvements
- Collaborate and work with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure system processes meet business needs/expectations
- Create, manage and test Jira tickets for defects and/or change requests
- Participate in departmental projects, attend meetings and scrums
- Manage business User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects to ensure systems continue to work as expected
- Maintain system data quality and integrity for Underwriting department
- Maintaining system process documentation and training material for Underwriting department
- Minimum Community College Diploma (or equivalent)
- Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Information Systems preferred
- 3-5 years' relevant business experience
- Ability to devise creative solutions to problems
- Excellent listening and communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Proven organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Advanced computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel and Salesforce
- Familiarity with Financial Management System, Webi and Jira/Agile systems to gather
data and problem solve an asset
- Must be highly accurate, well-organized with a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work independently and follow through on decisions as appropriate
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to continuous learning
- General knowledge of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, Builder Bulletins & Business policies is preferred
- Progressive experience working in an IS support role would be an asset
