We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and caring individual who believes in the potential of children and the beauty of fostering independence to join our support staff team. This position is for our Midtown location, working with children ages 6 to 14.

The role starts at 11 a.m., assisting in the kitchen, supervising lunch and physical education in the classrooms, and supporting our aftercare program, finishing at 6 p.m.

The role will require/include:

- Supporting the elementary children as needed during outdoor times, transitions, lunch, and dismissal
- Cleaning/sanitization and maintenance of the classroom and other areas, as needed.
- Redirect, guide and support children towards independence in collaboration with the Lead Teacher and teaching assistants.
- Provide safe and nurturing supervision of elementary children
- Guide, model and support a calm positive environment for the children.
- Engage actively with the children to support enriched learning experiences.
- Being available to work Monday-Friday 11 a.m -6 p.m
- Other duties as assigned.

Successful applicants will possess:

- Self-motivation and a positive, happy disposition
- High-energy level, adapting quickly
- Flexibility, responsibility, and dependability
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A clear police record check (vulnerable sector)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (level C) certificate
- RECE, ECE, OCT or equivalent is considered an asset
- Experience with the Montessori method is considered an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
