Our busy walk-in /family doctor clinic is looking for an **Experienced**, **friendly and professional Medica**l **secretary** **with OSCAR experience and excellent customer care **to provide superior customer service in our fast-paced clinic.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Greet patients and visitors in friendly and professional manner both in person and over the phone;
- Answer phones and direct to the appropriate person;
- **Book appointments accurately in the scheduling system OSCAR**:

- Register patients and provide guidance for completion of all necessary paperwork relating to their medical appointment;
- Keep the lounge, kitchen and changing rooms tidy and clean throughout the day
- Verify and update patient demographic information in databases;
- Work collaboratively and effectively with all team members to provide a welcoming and client focused environment;
- Responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient collection of specimens and other clinic procedures.
- Prepare patients for the visit

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- **Minimum of 2 years experience as medical secretary is a must**:

- **Experience with OSCAR is a must**:

- College diploma or certification in Health, Medical Administration or a related field
- Demonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem solving abilities;
- Exposure to patient databases and/or scheduling software would be ideal.
- Positive, friendly attitude is a must
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, practitioners and coworkers
- Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
