About the Limestone District School Board

Position Overview
Spring Math Tutors will provide gap closing support to students in grade 7 and 8 for Term 2 (February - April, with possibility of extension for May & June). Within a structured school day, Tutors will provide direct instruction to small groups focusing on numeracy, operations, and proportional reasoning.
**Duties of the Tutor include**:
Attend training session(s)
Plan and lead small group math instruction
Monitor student progress and share with classroom teachers
Qualifications & Experience
**We are looking for applicants who**:
show initiative
are currently enrolled in post-secondary studies and are considering an education-related career
are interested in, or have experience working with students in small groups in math and/or literacy
can provide their own transportation to the assigned school (mileage not covered by LDSB)
please note that schools may not be on bus routes
have a current CPIC (or can obtain a CPIC prior to employment)
