Accounting Technician, Reconciliations

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring two Accounting Technicians (Reconciliations) on a permanent basis for our Retail Accounting team. If you’re a strong communicator who enjoys problem solving, this role is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your skills. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK. Members of this team are currently working primarily from home, coming into the office one day a week.

**What you’ll do**:

- Prepare general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations within required deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries and year end working paper files.
- Prepare communications to local Co-ops regarding reconciliations.
- Maintain department files and reconcile bank accounts.
- Other duties as required.

**Who you’ll work with**:
You will work closely with 6 other Accounting Technicians who focus on reconciliations and will be part of a larger accounting team of approximately 35 people. You will report into the Retail Accounting Supervisor and will interact with professionals across the Co-operative Retailing System. Members of this team have the opportunity to exercise independence when troubleshooting, working directly with customers to address accounting discrepancies.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in accounting and:

- Have a high school diploma and one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution. Individuals who have a high school diploma and one year of relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
