Direct/field Sales Representative

As a **Direct/Field Sales Representative**, you will grow the revenue and usage of Pearson’s industry leading English Language Learning products and platforms.
You’re a self-motivated individual, competitive and willing to push past comfort zones. In this role, your ability to make long and lasting connections with Pearson customers will be invaluable to creating a partner experience driven by their desired outcomes. You will also be the connection with our long-standing existing customers to drive renewal and retention and to align their needs to the best possible solution.

**As a Direct/Field Sales Representative, you will**:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive, collaborative, and team-based culture by working with direct and indirect colleagues to achieve goals
- Work in an autonomous manner with the ability to problem solve and territory manage
- Employ effective communication techniques such as planning and productive questioning strategies that focus on learning outcomes that lead to winning business with a Pearson language learning solution
- Sell, present, and negotiate, Pearson digital offerings in person and/or through virtual video meetings
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Maintain product knowledge around Pearson digital offerings, the language learning industry, and factors influencing the market environment to provide advantageous insights for customers
- Exhibit a willingness to work within Pearson's customer relationship management system, SalesForce/CRM
- Possess strong analytical skills
**As a Direct/Field Sales Representative, you possess/are**:
- Bachelor / 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
- On-line literacy, experience, and aptitude to work with new technologies
- English Language Learning & Teaching industry experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence skills
- Strong business planning and prospecting abilities
- Able to work independently
- Competitive desire to exceed goals and grow territory
- Collaborative, team player
- Commitment to life-long learning
- Willingness to travel within British Columbia and Alberta
- Travel out of country on occasion
- Minimum of 5 days overnight travel to Vancouver, multiple times per year
- Valid driver’s license
- Residing in Vancouver, Greater Vancouver (Lower Mainland), BC. Canada
- The following items would be an asset, but not essential_
- TESL Certificate (or equivalent)
- Language teaching experience
- Previous sales experience
- French language proficiency
