Grill Chef

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook menu items on the grill according to restaurant standards
- Ensure food is cooked in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Refine mutton, chicken and fish by individual cuts
- Work off-track efficiently, providing support to other cooks as needed
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure meat is grilled to proper temperatures
- Keep copies of work orders and inventory sheets
- Prepare, grill, and plate a variety of menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken, fish, salads, and desserts
- Grill and maintain equipment, such as grills and fryers
- Insure food meets quality standards and is garnished and served in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- Be knowledgeable about menu, food cost, ingredient cost, and labor cost, and monthly sales goals
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen as a Grill Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to handle and cook food safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced setting
