**Who are we looking for?**

As the **Market Development Specialist **, **Ontario and Eastern Canada **you with play a critical role in aligning strategic market growth objectives with executable programs centered around Growth, Client Experience and Winning Work through compelling business intelligence, a strong culture of accountability and connection between various stakeholder groups at GHD. This will include discovery and qualification efforts for long lead priority pursuits, and the mobilization of Winning Work teams in collaboration with Market Leadership

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:
Provide focused support on the growth of GHD’s external industry awareness and strengthening GHD internal go-to-market, key client, capture and pursuit activities necessary to grow our business.

**Key areas of responsibilities include**:
Growth Strategy:

- Support strategic planning efforts with Market and Business Group Leads, and stakeholders to develop a growth strategy to support targets
- Support Leaders in driving a culture of accountability for strategic growth
- Maintain market intel capturing competitor and client data
- Maintain teaming partner information to identify preferred partners by scope, geography, client relationship, qualifications, and performance (pursuit and delivery)
- Coordination and compilation of market intel and competitor research, in collaboration with Market Teams to ensure the team has an up-to-date understanding of competitor positioning and clear / precise understanding of where the market opportunity is for GHD
- Support in relevant Market key communities of interest (i.e., Futures)
- Support work with Future’s Leaders to ensure global strategies and value propositions are utilized appropriately across the region

**Client Experience**:

- Support Client Experience programs and activities in concert with the Ontario Food & Agribusiness Lead(s)
- Provide support to Relationship Managers, in conjunction with the global CX program, to drive a culture of growth and accountability in performance

**Winning and Delivering Work**:

- Support Market to assess GHD’s ability to pursue, win and execute projects and, support Market Leads, BGLs and stakeholders (i.e., Capture) to prioritize clients and opportunities
- Maintain a current understanding, at all times, of live and pending opportunities (inc. all unsolicited, sole select and advertised / competitive opportunities e.g., RFPs, tenders), win/loss register, and lessons learned etc. ensuring the pipeline is up to date for accurate reporting
- Support the delivery of strategic activities to support Opportunity Owners, and identifying and connecting global capabilities to maximize GHD’s position to win and working with pursuit leads during the proposal process
- Work with RMLs and other Market stakeholders to develop fit-for
- purpose client presentations, regionally relevant and customized pitch packs, capability statements, and proposal-ready case studies etc. for target client opportunities.
- Provide input and guidance on developing and implementing standard operating procedures to enhance delivery and overall deliverable quality
