Dealer Sales Manager

This position provides the vital link between Quadient and its authorized dealer partners in Central & Eastern Canada to achieve sales and revenue goals for the assigned territories.
The position calls for close collaboration with all business stakeholders in the Quadient Dealer Channel, the fostering of healthy relationships between Quadient and its Dealer Partners and ensuring adherence to Quadient standards in relation to sales, operations, and reporting for the assigned territory. The position requires a results-oriented leader with a tenacious ‘make it happen’ attitude.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be a consultative resource to a group of seasoned business owners.
- Work with the dealer partners to develop prospect customers, forecast possible deals and ensure order volume and revenue targets are met.
- Promote learning and development within the channel. Coach the dealer Sales Teams on developing strategies and action plans to grow market share.
- Communicate the Company’s business plans and strategies to the region.
- Manage resources to meet the dealer requirements; this may include assisting with sales training and selling strategies providing performance evaluation and feedback.
- Manage operational processes, may include developing quotes, proposals, and reporting orders, etc.
- Address any sales, operational and reporting issues.
- Effectively leverage cross-functional teams between Quadient and the dealership to meet customer needs.
- Contribute to the forecasting process. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales forecasts or as required. Review and monitor targets, revenues and control expenses; analyzing variances and taking actions as required. Ensure Quadient margins are maintained.
- Promote, market and sell full range of Quadient MRS/ICA/PLS hardware and software to both new and existing customers, fostering cross-selling and solution offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships within the business community.
- Ensure company standards are met in all sales and operational transactions.
**Education**:
- Business degree or diploma from a recognized school is desirable
- CPSA Accreditation is preferred.
**Work Experience/Skills**:
- Ten years of previous sales responsibility, preferably in a capital equipment and/or business-to-business environment.
- Minimum five years experience in a management/leadership role.
- Expert knowledge of the sales process and its component parts.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to assess market trends and plan a sales strategy for assigned territory.
- Excellent verbal communication with the ability to negotiate and influence positively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the aptitude to build strong internal business relationships and draw on resources when required.
- Consultative approach to customer service with business analysis experience and proposal development.
- Results-oriented and proactive self-starter with the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Business acumen along with utmost integrity and professionalism.
- Problem solving ability and proven analytical skills and resourcefulness to effectively address customer related issues.
- Sound organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency to work efficiently in a fast pace environment.
- Proficient in basic software and computer knowledge as well as the ability to learn new systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and be willing to travel within the assigned region.
