**What a Bagel **is seeking a dependable individual capable of thriving in a dynamic, high-paced work environment. We're committed to providing our customers with a large variety of breads, bagels, pastries, cakes and all kinds of baked goods.

**Requirements**:

- Must have - Food Handler Certificate
- Minimum 1 year experience in the food industry
- Weekends availability
- Holidays

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet, welcome, and create a comfortable and pleasant environment for all guests in the shop.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Receive and process payments from guests, and open, close, and balance the cash till after the end of the day
- Assist customers with product selection and offer recommendations based on their needs
- Take and fulfill orders from outside vendors (such as UberEats, Skip the Dishes, DoorDash) with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone
- Prepare and serve hot and fresh items from the kitchen menu.
- Prepare and serve food items (such as bagels, salads, and sandwiches) according to guests’ liking.
- Clean, prep, and slice fruits and vegetables for salad bar and sandwich bar, prepare specialty cream cheeses, tuna salad, egg salad, and chicken salad for use in food service.
- Coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and help other employees ensure optimal operation of the bakery

**Skills**:

- Cashiering: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer Service: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
- Organizational: Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Phone Etiquette: Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:
