Position Title: Slot Cashier Attendant

Reports To: Slot Supervisor/Slot Manager

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the face of Red Deer Resort & Casino for patrons needing assistance at the slot booth, including cashing tickets, performing debit or cash call transactions, making change, signing up for Winners Edge, and answering general questions.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times, providing exceptional customer service.
- Prepare jackpots for slot attendants to deliver to customers promptly.
- Ensure total efficiency and accuracy when counting cash.
- Stay aware of activities on the gaming floor and know who is playing where.
- Respond to and resolve guest issues, escalating as required.
- Identify and report counterfeit bills.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures in the slot department.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with a “team” mindset.
- Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, directing all calls to the appropriate department or person, or answering patron inquiries.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform duties as workload necessitates.
- Ensure the slot supervisor/manager is aware of all activities, large jackpots, and suspicious transactions or behaviors.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong experience handling large volumes of cash with accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with potentially difficult customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to excel at multi-tasking, as often there are multiple occurrences happening at one time.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be flexible and able to work days, evenings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
- Previous slot operations experience would be an asset.
- Must meet AGLC’s requirements to become a registered gaming worker.
- Capable of prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 15 to 20 pounds)

**Hours of Work**
- The hours of work for this position will vary depending on operational requirements but will include afternoon, late night, evening shifts, weekends and holidays
