We are seeking a strategic and analytical Media Partnerships Manager to join our dynamic team at Business Wire. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and effectiveness of our press release distribution network. You will leverage your expertise in media relations, market analysis, and strategic planning to cultivate a competitive edge for our company.
- Establish new quality media partnerships, broadening the reach of Business Wire’s distribution network.
- Identify new and upcoming influential sites with high potential reach and audience engagement.
- Identify areas for improvement and growth within the distribution network, seeking innovative opportunities to differentiate Business Wire.
- Negotiate exclusive placement opportunities with media outlets to maximize exposure and impact.
- Target industry-specific sites to expand reach and cater to relevant niche audiences.
- Manage content licensing contracts and renewals for network partners, ensuring continued access to valuable distribution channels.
- Optimize data flow and reporting between Business Wire and media partner sites, ensuring accurate and timely information is displayed on partner platforms.
- Evaluate media partner performance based on analytics and adjust accordingly.
- Foster open communication by maintaining regular updates with internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across Sales, Product, and Marketing, integrating feedback and requirements into actionable plans for improving the distribution network.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitive landscape and adjust partnership strategy accordingly.
**What You will Need**:
- 5+ years of experience and existing relationships in news and/or online media.
- French language proficiency a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.
- Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics related to media, news, and press release distribution.
- Proven ability to analyze data, translate insights into actionable strategies, and demonstrate their impact through clear reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively across internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- BA Degree
