**Position Description**

The Materials Manager is responsible for creating organizational and customer value through the areas of people, process and technology. The manager is responsible for functional accountability within SC chain for the area of Materials Management. Key accountabilities include Materials Contracts, Aged Inventory and National Supplier Escalation As a Materials Manager it is expected results are achieved through building the capability of their teams, collaborating with key internal and external business partners while also adopting best practices to strive for operational excellence.

**Essential Functions**:

- Team capability:

- Lead a team of Material Specialist and Analysts
- Build individual development through transparent development plans
- Build team capability through hiring and sharing of talent
- Key accountabilities:

- Materials contracts for national supplier accounts (labels, wraps )
- Production Planner escalation support for national supplier accounts
- Production Planning key metric reports
- Columbus min/max ingredient reporting
- Aged inventory reporting
- Proactive aged risk reduction through days of supply and rundown processes
- Order Optimization through balanced pricing and DOS
- Supplier accountability and relationships with escalation to procurement as necessary
- Deliver results for all key metrics: Fill rate, aged inventory, DOS, safety stock, forecast accuracy
- Develop collaborative working relationships with supply chain functions, finance, operations, procurement, Columbus and suppliers
- Execute a consistent cadence for key functional venues
- Best practice development of key business process
- Integration of new business and technology
- Supports special projects and other assigned duties as required
- Participate in multi-functional groups to include manufacturing, procurement, sales and others to accomplish Refresco goals and communicate/educate others on material issues and constraints.
- Keeps current of/and coordinates materials supply for all new product introductions and design changes by working closely with Suppliers, Production Planners, Commercialization, Procurement, and the other functions in Supply
- Keeps current of Global Sourcing supply strategies and commercial relations with Is an active participant at Global Sourcing meetings with suppliers dealing with capacity planning, warehousing, lead time, pre-build inventory programs, etc.
- Monitors, reports, communicates, and manages actions around Supplier Performance Interacts directly as needed to address supply interruptions.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred;
- Three (3) years of supply chain experience;
- Experience in building effective collaborative relationships with both internal and external customers/suppliers
- SAP experience, a plus

- Ability to work collaborate and effectively communicate with key business partners
- Working knowledge of SAP, PowerBI, and MS Office Prior experience with GIB a plus.
