Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is looking for a Full Time Accounts Payable Clerk located in mid-town Toronto. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, processing checks, updating and reconciling accounts and ledgers, and matching and batching code invoices.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper cost allocation
- Code and enter invoices and other expenses with high accuracy.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
- Respond and resolve all internal and external AP inquiries. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Perform full-cycle A/P; Posting, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Prepare and enter daily and month end journal entries.
- Maintaining vendor account reconciliations to ensure timeliness & accuracy with records
- Build and manage positive relationship with our internal and external partners
- Responsible for assisting with monthly account analysis and other Accounts Payable related reconciliations.
- Maintain systems, policies, and procedures relating to the Accounts Payable function.
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks and other documents
- Obtain appropriate approvals with signatures for all invoices and expense reports.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor account balances, research, and correct any discrepancies.
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- 2 years’ experience in full cycle AP processing
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance
- Proficient in MS Offices and Excel
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping concepts and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization skills, accurate, and attentive to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
