**Business Development** Representative**

**Position Scope**:
As a key member of the Business Development Team, the Business Development Representative reports to and takes lead from the Sales Manager, plays a strategic role in the overall management of companies marketing and lead generation activities in out-bound calls to various businesses in Southwestern Ontario to set up qualified appointments with Decision-Makers for our Account Executive Sales Team.

**Essential Duties**:

- Enter the required information and/or complete the client files according to the company’s methods and procedures
- Plan and carry out reminders and follow-ups of new client development
- Search the Internet, telephone, other means, or groupings (Industrial parks, Chamber of Commerce, Canada 411, list of professionals, etc.) to find new customer lists and update the customer database
- Conduct a conversation with potential customers to engage them in the JAN-PRO concept and develop a communication to get an appointment with the decision maker (sales opportunity)
- Set and confirm appointments (opportunities) for the account executives; transfer required information
- Accompany account executives in customer development activities (cold calls, trade fairs or other)
- Attend meetings or training sessions offered by the company
- Produce required reports or other necessary documents
- Perform other tasks related to telephone solicitation

**Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, And Education**
- Secondary School diploma (DES, DEP in sales or any equivalent combination)
- 1+ years previous experience in sales, telemarketing, or administration in sales department
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Knowledge of CRM
- Proficient in the use of the Internet
- Persuasion and perseverance
- Goal Oriented and Ambitious
- Emotional Intelligence - Must be able to handle rejection professionally and without letting it impact your attitude and performance.
- Team Player - Willing and capable of working with our sales team to reach our common goals.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with some direction.
- Ability to overcome objections.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
