This role provides a strong technical foundation and exposure to all aspects of structural restoration, envelope and related building science. RJC is a leader in retrofits of existing buildings for energy, carbon emissions, and durability, and is proactive in helping to advance industry standards. As an Engineer-in-Training at RJC Engineers, you will learn about engineering from a technical perspective, but you will also learn business acumen, teamwork and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform field work related to the assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures.
- Assist with report writing, contract document preparation and contract administration.
- Perform effectively in both an office and construction site environment.
- Work under the direction of a Project Engineer as a member of the project team, from conceptual and preliminary stage of project design to its completion.
- Some structural design and analysis to determine effective repair alternatives
- Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Contract administration/construction review while implementing restoration work
- Client liaison

**Professional Qualifications & Experience**:

- Registered as an Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T) with APEGA
- Previous experience in an engineering or construction environment
- Able to conceptualize in three dimensions
- A self-starter who learns quickly and works hard
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to work overtime at some odd hours as needed to meet site requirements
- Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Aptitude for working with existing facilities and comfortable working at heights
- Valid Driver's License

- Bachelor's degree or better in Civil Engineering
