Why WSP Building Sciences?

Building Science encompasses a broad range of scientific and practical knowledge on the design, performance, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance and operation of new and existing buildings. With buildings being one of the major contributors of greenhouse gases to the environment, working to improve the design and operation of buildings has a positive impact on our environment and our daily lives, especially as most of us live, work and play in a wide range of building types.

Building Sciences deals with key aspects of the building envelope including cladding systems, insulation, air and vapour control, windows and doors, roofing and related systems, and parkade waterproofing in both existing and new buildings to name a few. Building Sciences is a dynamic field where advancement in the knowledge, techniques and practices is always evolving through new technologies and practices.  This is a field where your work can support the advancement of improvements to our built environment and have a true impact on the future.
