**Role**:
If you are a highly motivated team player with a keen interest in supporting teams and managers delivering on their mandates, consider joining the Workforce Supports & Prevention Branch. As a member of the Workforce Restoration Unit, you will play an important role in delivering a variety of supports to Government of Alberta employees at all levels. This includes direct or indirect involvement in conflict resolution, workplace assessments, group facilitations, facilitated discussions, and advising of options.

This role seeks advice, guidance, and mentorship from the Manager, Workforce Restoration as needed.

As a Workforce Restoration Consultant, you will:
- Conduct workplace assessments by interviewing employees, analyzing findings and creating a written report on themes identified for implementation.
- Work closely with Managers and HR client delivery areas on assessing organizational scenarios and appropriate tools to gain efficiencies and effectiveness to ensure teams can deliver on their mandates.
- Manage project completion through high energy facilitation and engagement in teams throughout the organization.
- Confidently facilitate and/or lead large and small group discussions with the purpose of contributing to a respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Lead meetings with leadership to explore workplace conflict with a solution-based approach.
- Develop and present comprehensive Workplace Restoration Plans.
- Provide advice, assistance, and make recommendations when dealing with change management and conflict resolution between individuals or within teams.
- Support and mentor working teams to implement tools, processes, and build skills to improve working environments in a proactive and preventative lens, i.e. through coaching, recommendations of training, etc.
- Collaborate with employees across the organization, including individual employees, leadership/leadership teams, and internal and external stakeholders throughout the workplace restoration lifecycle.
- Contribute actively to the ongoing improvement of Workforce Restoration practices and processes at the Government of Alberta.
- Provide support and collaborate within the Workplace Supports & Preventions team.

**Qualifications**:
Required:
University graduation in a related field plus five years of related experience; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalency:
A related two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years of related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and eight years of related experience.

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

- Strong facilitation experience, facilitation training or certification is considered an asset.
- Experience in supporting groups/teams through conflict resolution, Appropriate Dispute Resolution.
- Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of employment contracts, collective agreement, policies and procedures, and federal and provincial legislation is considered an asset.
- Mediation or other related certificate/designation is considered an asset i.e. Q.MED, C.MED.
