The role of **Project Coordinator/Estimator **works closely with all stakeholders to ensure that projects progress efficiently and stay on schedule and on budget. This position reports directly to the Project Director.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Corresponds daily with Project Manager / Estimator and Project Director to review tender progress and upcoming opportunities that require bid sheets to be built or other estimating responsibilities
- Build out bid sheets and pull specifications from the tender and create a subcontractor list
- Responsible for tender closings including following up with subcontractors to finalize pricing, bid bond, references, any other applicable information
- Work with Project Director to reviews subcontractor agreements and purchase orders prior to issuance to subcontractors and vendors
- Support Project Manager / Estimator with submissions, scheduling, work plan, safety plan, environmental plan, etc.
- Issue owner changes such as site instructions and contemplated change orders, etc. to applicable vendors and subcontractors
- Maintain project schedule
- Work with Site Supervisor to coordinate sub-trades and vendors
- Maintain daily contact with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager / Estimator to schedule, strategize, and report on job progress and job changes etc.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to resolve jobsite issues
- Continuously update and compare estimated quantities with actual quantities used
- Provide redlined as-builts and O&M manuals as required for the work
- Participate in site meetings with sub-contractors and internal stakeholders
- Participate in owner and design coordination meetings with consultants and Site Supervisor
- Create RFIs, change orders for the team lead to review before submittal to owner
- Work with the Project Manager / Estimator to put together progress draws to the owner, collect monthly bills from subcontractors, and update the budget sheet for approval by team lead.
- Other duties as assigned.

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS / ABILITIES**

**Experience / Education**
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management or Project Management
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience as Project Coordinator (Heavy civil construction, mechanical, electrical, concrete, water / wastewater)

**Skills & Abilities**
- Previous work experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving onsite issues with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to read construction design drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using Bluebeam Revu would be an asset
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Project) and Google G suite
- Understanding of health and safety principles/ procedures/legislation per Ministry of Labour and Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Experience working with subcontractors including issuing purchase orders and reviewing subcontractor agreements and scheduling
- Detailed understanding of construction life cycle from project start up to close-out
- Valid G driver’s license
- Ability to legally work in Canada

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
