**Job description**

In project 2, the research associate will be embedded into an implementation science-focused stream of the CanHepC network. Within this stream, various ongoing implementation science projects are seeking to surface barriers and enablers to screening and treatment for Hepatitis C, and co-developing interventions with priority groups. The research associate will have a cross-project role in supporting each of these projects with methodological advice, and data collection and analysis support. In addition, the research associate will leverage the data generated for each project and priority group to conduct a cross-project internationality-informed analysis to support greater consideration of how intersectionality can be incorporated into the implementation of science-informed efforts in CanHepC and beyond.

**Expected Responsibilities**
Primary duties in project 1 will include leading the further co-development and evaluation of plasma donation-focused interventions with community (gbMSM) and Canadian Blood Services partners, fostering authentic relationships, and regularly meeting with community partners in a manner aligned with best practices in community engagement and patient-oriented research, conducting and analyzing theory-informed interviews and surveys, overseeing evidence syntheses, developing and delivering presentations and written outputs for diverse audiences.
In project 2, primary duties will include supporting other CanHepC implementation science-stream researchers in data collection and analysis and leading intersectionality-informed methodological innovations. There would also be an opportunity to present at conferences, lead published peer-reviewed outputs, and supervise junior staff and trainees.

**Basic Requirements (Education/Experience)**:

- Master’s degree in a relevant field and 2 years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience
- Experience developing (content and modes of delivery) decision support and/or behaviour change interventions
- Experience designing and conducting feasibility pilots
- Experience interviewing or conducting focus groups with members of the public in a research context
- Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills and experience
- Time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills (in-person and virtual)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as both part of an interdisciplinary team and independently
- Experience working in or around healthcare settings
- Flexibility to accommodate periodic demanding deadlines and meetings outside of standard work hours to accommodate citizen partner availabilities
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of data and protocol requirements
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonisation — Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP) or a commitment to acquire upon being hired.
- Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint software, as well as quantitative (e.g., SPSS, R) and qualitative analysis software (e.g. NVivo)

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Completed PhD and some post-PhD experience in implementation science, knowledge translation, health services research, health or organizational psychology, behavioural medicine, medical sociology, behavioural science, applied psychology, or related field
- Experience with vulnerable and/or inequitably treated populations
- Experience working with members of gbMSM communities
- Experience working in hepatitis C research
- Experience conducting research using an intersectionality lens
- Experience conducting systematic reviews and/or qualitative meta-syntheses
- Experience developing and analyzing theory-informed questionnaires
- Experience in implementation intervention development (identification of barriers/enablers and selecting and operationalizing implementation strategies) and/or evaluation (including implementation trials and/or process evaluation)
- Grant writing experience with proven success

**Contract Details**:
This is a 2-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
