Operations Intern

As an Operational Support Intern, you will contribute to Sirva’s success by helping guide our customers, drivers and agency personnel as a team member in one of our frontline departments tasked with coordinating the movement of customers’ household goods and automobile shipments throughout Canada and to/from the United States.

**Functions and Responsibilities**
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Planning Team, SIRVA Move Management Team or Government Move Management Team
- Take/make calls to drivers, agents and customers to provide/request information and respond to inquiries
- Update move order information, communicate with internal departments and external service providers and customers
- Input data to spreadsheets and proprietary systems
- Assist the team as needed
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications and Preferred Skills**
- General understanding of Canadian Geography
- Highly motivated and self-driven with excellent teamwork skills; a collaborative style is essential
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organization, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be available to work additional hours, as business needs dictate
- Bilingual in French and English will be considered an asset

**Education and Certification Requirements**

High school diploma or equivalent with current enrolment in post-secondary studies

**Additional Notes**
- Position is located at Sirva’s Edmonton, AB office, located in west Edmonton. Hybrid (work-at-office with work-from-home) arrangement available.

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
