Job Summary:
As an Activity Manager in our retirement community, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our homeowners by planning, organizing, and implementing a diverse range of recreational and social activities. The primary objective is to create an engaging and supportive environment that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being among our homeowners.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Activity Planning and Coordination**:

- Develop, plan, and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities that cater to the interests and preferences of the retirement home residents.
- Organize a variety of activities such as games, arts and crafts, educational programs, music and dance events, fitness classes, and outings.
- **Resident Engagement**:

- Interact with homeowners regularly to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback regarding the activities.
- Foster a sense of community and socialization among homeowners through group activities and events.
- **Collaboration with Staff**:

- Work closely with other departments, such as healthcare and dining services, to ensure seamless coordination of activities that align with homeowner’s schedules and overall well-being.
- Communicate effectively with staff to promote homeowner participation and encourage a holistic approach to care.
- **Special Events**:

- Plan and execute special events, celebrations, and holiday-themed activities to enhance the overall experience for homeowners and their families.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and participation in activities.
- Provide regular reports to management on the success and areas of improvement for the activities program.
- **Budget Management**:

- Assist in developing and managing the activities budget, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution of events.
- **Staff Training**:

- Train and supervise activity staff and volunteers to ensure they are equipped to assist in the implementation of various activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in organizing activities for seniors or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and patience to work with senior residents.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Familiarity with the aging process and the needs of elderly individuals.

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
