Liburdi Engineering Ltd. is a leader in design and manufacture of specialized welding equipment as well as gas turbine component refurbishment. Serving primarily aerospace, and nuclear industries, Liburdi combines expertise in control technology and welding processes to develop unique solutions to challenges presented by these industries.

Our Company is seeking a **Human Resources Generalist** to provide coverage for an employee leave anticipated to last approximately 9-10 months.
- **Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to)**:_
- Coordinating full spectrum recruiting services including conducting phone screening, participating in face-to-face interviews, and conducting pre-start reference checks where required
- Coordinating agency relationships, reviewing agency contracts, converting agency individuals to full time staff
- Working directly with hiring managers to clearly define core job knowledge, skills and ability requirements
- Creating and posting job ads, both internally and externally
- Drafting for review, various employment contracts including full time, part time, and independent contractors
- Monitoring proposed wage rates against internal benchmarks to ensure equitable and fair compensation is offered across the organization
- Conducting compensation research using external sources in support of company compensation determinations
- Processing on-boarding documents, communicating with various parties regarding new employees completing new hire orientation training
- Performing data entry and HR file management functions
- Administering, coaching and training others on the corporate Employee Handbook policies and various HR processes and procedures, updating and making suggested changes as warranted
- Overseeing short-term disability program claims. Involves coordinating with employee and 3rd party adjudication service, coordinating with other departments (payroll, managers, supervisors etc...), arranging Return To Work including accommodations as warranted, and assisting with transfer to Long Term Disability claim submissions as required
- Performing general employee relations activities, providing internal employee communications
- Conduct/ support Company Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention investigations, as well as investigations into general employee conduct consistent with best practices and regulatory requirements
- Arranging external training services as warranted
- Drafting termination and/or disciplinary letters in keeping with best practices, external regulations and internal policies
- Maintaining and communicating HR metrics
- Creating travel letters to support international employee travel
- Participate in administering Company/Client security program requirements as required
- Acting to promote positive morale and transparent communications throughout the company, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Actively listening to employee concerns, aiding in general employee understanding and development
- Following quality, safety and company policy at all times

- **Key Education / Experience Requirements**:_
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, in a non-union environment
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Post-secondary degree/certificate in Human Resources required
- Relevant University degree or CHRP / CHRL designation is an asset
