Order Management Specialist

**Order Management Specialist role**:
This role is responsible for the execution of order management tasks and is invested in order management processes. They will ensure the highest level of customer service and will support customers through expertise with business systems and processes, and through collaboration with other functional areas impacting the customer journey. There are opportunities to grow and develop knowledge by leading continuous improvement projects.
Duties Include:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention through exceptional service
- Communicate directly with internal and external customers
- Receive and enter customer orders in ERP System.
- Verify pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and terms.
- Manage customer orders accurately and promptly and monitor for situations which could negatively impact customer success
- Communicate with customers throughout their order(s) with professional verbal and written communications.
- Create invoice and send to the customer. Support finance in the creation of a credit note.
- Resolves inquiries on errors related to invoicing, pricing, incorrect shipments or returns in cooperation with finance
- Update and track customer consignment orders
- Maintain customer portals and advise on forecast requirements
- Track, measure, and report regularly the status of customer orders with the required departments
- Liaise with production, purchasing and logistics to track order status
- Maintain knowledge of all products, processes, and policies to support and exceed customer expectations
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the overall customer experience
- Lead and participate on continuous improvement projects
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- College Diploma, Supply Chain/Logistics or Business education preferred
- Professional designation or working towards in Supply Chain or Logistics (APICS/ASCM)
- 3 years order management experience
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and confidence in dealing with all levels of an organization.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
**Other Specifications**:
- Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Strong customer focus, team player, innovative and self-motivated
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage change in a high-pressure environment
- Documentation input and record keeping accuracy a must
- Basic customs knowledge is required (USMCA, etc.)
- Highly organized and strong negotiation skills
