Rainbow’s Nest Child Care is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and experienced Early Childhood Educator or Assistant to take a leading role working with the children in our **Infant Toddler room or 3-5 year classroom.**

**Educators with experience working with special needs are strongly encouraged to apply.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan age-appropriate daily programming responding to your children’s interests. Include lots of sensory exploration/music/art materials exploration/outdoor play/circle time.
- Provide basic daily care of the children (diapering, toileting, feeding).
- Provide short written daily records for each child; prepare documentation boards for display.
- Provide for children's health and safety. Clean & sanitize daily. Complete safety checks.
- Be familiar with each child (knowledge of any family or medical problems, likes and dislikes); share appropriately with colleagues.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience working with special needs children is a strong asset.
- Be a positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and understanding individual.
- Be flexible and able to problem solve with creative, inclusive solutions.
- Be able to motivate and work effectively within a team.
- Be an effective and positive communicator with children, colleagues, and parents.
- Have a good command of the English language (spoken, written, and reading).
- Previous experience working in a licensed infant/toddler group daycare setting is required.

**MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid ECE licence to practice in BC.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Criminal Record Check.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a licensed group daycare setting is an asset.
