Early Childhood Educator

**Job Summary**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement child-care programs that nurture the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of infants and toddlers.
- Facilitate engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, art projects, dramatic play, music, and physical movement to foster creativity and curiosity.
- Create and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment that supports the overall well-being of each child.
- Assess each child’s abilities, interests, and developmental needs, regularly communicating progress or concerns with parents and team members.
- Monitor and identify signs of potential learning or behavioral issues, preparing detailed reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
- Support and guide children in developing essential skills like eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers focused on child development.
- May supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- At least two years or above early childhood working experience.
- Licensing is required in British Columbia for early childhood educators.
- Positive, caring and compassionate attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise patience when interacting with children.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
