**Vice President, Finance**

The Vice President Finance at Copper Bay Homes plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our dynamic organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead our cost controlling, financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal analysis initiatives, contributing significantly to our ongoing success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Controller Responsibilities:

- Implement internal cost control systems, operational procedures, and reporting mechanisms to meticulously manage financial data.
- Administer subtrade contracts, ensuring accurate accounting distributions, and prepare construction progress draws and owner progress billings.
- Foster efficient timekeeping processes and ensure contract compliance.
- Collaborate closely with project staff on contract management, administration, and project cost tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing system and process enhancements.
- Prepare timely reporting and remittances for HST, payroll, and WSIB accounts, adhering to professional accounting standards, contractual obligations, and governmental regulations.
- Lead audit requirements for external and client audits.
- Analyst Responsibilities:

- Conduct financial modeling and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis, creating insightful reports.
- Develop data-driven analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, optimizing business operations.
- Implement controls to mitigate financial risks and exposure across projects.
- Manage cash flow through short and long-term obligation modeling.
- Assist in budget creation, monitoring, and variance reporting for construction projects.
- Collect and analyze financial information for projects, contributing to regular project reviews.
- Cash Management:

- Oversee general transactional accounting processes, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
- Manage accounts payable by overseeing supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy, managing approval processes, and facilitating timely payments.
- Supervise accounts receivable by issuing invoices, tracking customer payments and change orders, and diligently following up on overdue accounts.

**Requirements**:

- 5-10 years of experience in construction, development, and/or real estate asset management.
- CPA and/or CMA designation with proven experience in an executive financial leadership role, with a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- QuickBooks Online software experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong leadership/management skills.

**Salary**:

- $125,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses.

Pay: $125,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
