As a vital member of our Community Outreach department, you'll lead the way in all operational aspects of our community-based programs for children, youth, and adults. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring positive experiences and delivering high-quality, mission-based programs that will establish and strengthen our community bonds.

**Work Schedule**: Full time role, 35 hours per week with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

**Location**: YMCA of Oakville Community Program Sites.
Office location, Peter Gilgan Family YMCA, 410 Rebecca Street, Oakville, Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides direct program support and delivers community programs in various locations within Oakville.
- Assists in supervising, coaching, and supporting part-time staff and volunteers.
- Facilitates leadership programs and is a positive role model and mentor to diverse youth.
- Assists in planning, delivering, and evaluating program success, ensuring quality assurance in all aspects of program delivery, and suggests areas for improvement.
- Functions as a team member within the Community Outreach department and contributes to meetings and projects, completing projects as assigned and others.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with YMCA staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Conducts regular visits to community programs to ensure delivery of high-quality programs.
- Handles administrative tasks associated with community program operations.
- Completes delegated tasks and other administrative duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Worker or a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Strong planning and coordination skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families.
- Models’ behaviour aligned with the association mission, vision, and values.
- Must have a current and valid police record check with vulnerable sector screening.
