Position Summary

Under the direction of the Ontario Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining a set customer base in the CRM software and performing outbound sales to deliver increased share in the Ontario market focusing on the Agency Channel, select LCBO retail outlets & select Ontario Grocery.

This role will focus its efforts on building a strong relationship and driving Corby’s business performance through frequent/planned interaction and a defined sales approach focused on delivering mutually beneficial business solutions.

This role requires a persistent and persuasive individual who, along with being well organized, enjoys negotiating and selling in a competitive and fast-paced environment.

This position will work from the
_Toronto_ office and will also be expected to physically visit certain top stores in peak season within the Universe that is called on.

Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and Manage outbound calls to an account base of LCBO stores (retail and Agency) and Grocery stores in the Ontario market.
- Primary focus is to establish a customers’ needs and make recommendations to meet needs through the selling of Corby’s portfolio of products.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and standards of performance as established in Regional Plans.
- Present price programming, such as LTO’s and other priority programs to customers and agree on order quantity/commitment.
- Present product listing recommendations, including New Products and Innovations to customers and agree on order quantity/commitment.
- Follow-up with customers to ensure commitments and obligations are met and volumes achieved.
- Maintain and manage customer account list in Corby’s CRM tool and document details of all call and customer communications.
- Develop and leverage a strong knowledge and insight of regional business performance for Spirits and Wine categories to support sales negotiations.
- Develop strong relationships with accounts and ensure high level of customer service and follow-up.
- Day-to-day administrative reporting and tasks as required.
- Route plan will be developed encompassing top tier Agency and Grocery stores and will require physical visits of these stores based on a time and seasonal specific schedule.
- Other duties as required.

- Negotiation Skills: Ability to manage customers’ needs and requests through appropriate negotiation cycle & techniques to achieve Pernod Ricard’s objectives.
- Influencing & Networking: Ability to establish and develop mutually beneficial and trusting business relationships with key internal / external stakeholders through cooperation, integrity, and with strong interpersonal & presentation skills.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to consider all appropriate information, break things down and determine cause and effect relationships to make effective recommendations and develop operational actions.
- Market & Environment: Ability to develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the business landscape and environment evolutions to maximize business opportunities. Focus on key players (competitors, other consumer brands companies, key customers), distribution channels (including their distinct go to market strategies) and category trends.
- Portfolio, Brands & Products: Ability to develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Pernod Ricard’s brands and their positioning within the competitive landscape to be able to coordinate portfolio and channel strategy, and to offer adequate solution to accounts.
