**About Our Opportunity**:
If you are searching for a rewarding career opportunity, we have a position for you as the Corporate Strategist of the Employment Nova Scotia (ENS) division of LSI.

The division delivers a wide range of learning, job search and employment related programs and services and has strategic and accountability responsibility for the public employment service delivery system in the province.

You are responsible for corporate, forward-thinking policy and program analysis. You provide expert strategic advice to inform the direction and development of ENS strategy and programming in this space. You also support the operationalization and on-going management and maintenance of various province-wide funding programs, and their related operational systems, and your work supports regionally based teams to deliver the programs in communities across Nova Scotia. You do this work yourself in your role and you also have a team of direct reports of Program Consultants and a Senior Analyst of Performance and Statistics to support the work under your care. You report to the Director of ENS.

The Corporate Strategist works collaboratively across ENS, the department and government to spearhead the planning, development and/or coordination of priorities, policies, and initiatives to address employment retention, attraction and participation opportunities and challenges across Nova Scotia through program and service development. This is accomplished by leading or participating in ongoing, collaborative projects and processes with various departmental divisions, other provincial departments, other levels of governments, stakeholder groups, organizations, and the private sector to ensure that government policy and programming responds to the needs of the Nova Scotia labour market.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
The work of the Corporate Strategist includes:

- oversight of funding program policy, procedures, services, and quality standards for ENS, ensuring programs meet labour market demands/trends. This includes quality assurance functions for external service delivery systems funded by the division and for internal service delivery systems including data and file analysis identification of deficiencies and recommendations for corrective action.
- planning, designing, maintaining, and evaluating program policies and procedures for all ENS programs ensuring adherence to both federal and provincial legislation as well as ensuring programs meet labour market demands.
- liaising with managers, divisional directors and other leaders.
- leading and contributing to the effective planning and oversight of Nova Scotia’s employment services delivery system by informing the development of key indicators, measures and metrics, benchmarks, and targets, undertaking and
