**Some of what you will do**:
The Design Services Consultant will create custom designs for our small business customers and partner with our inside & outside sales team to provide further services and design. You enable our work, learn, and grow culture for our customers and associates. Passionate about design and print production, you continuously grow your knowledge by committing to ongoing self-development and share your expertise with your team members. You will be responsible for connecting with customers or inside and outside sales team to understand their graphic design needs, share your expertise and provide suggestions to enhance the customer’s design.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Conducts research, gathers industry data and trends to assist assortment/vendor expansion and selection.
- Maintain Dropship Vendor Tracker which comprises various vendor info and terms.
- Handles the overall onboarding of drop ship vendors to the website. This involves a strong partnership between the Merchandise and Digital teams who manage the website and back-end. This includes vendor on-boarding process including setup in Staples Commerce Hub, request of vendor number, UPS account and access to Staples Partners Website for domestic and cross-border vendors
- Continuously look for opportunities for process improvement and efficiency, from our internal needs and the customer standpoint.
- Issue various Drop-ship reports with recommendation for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve online drop-ship out-of-stock issues with vendors and Merchandising teams.

**Some of what you need**:

- Post Secondary education with a degree or diploma in graphic design
- Strong layout and design capabilities
- Strong knowledge of Digital Design (Infographics, social media posts)
- Knowledge in photo retouching and restoration
- Strong creative vision
- Strong working knowledge or design software (Adobe Creative Suite) & Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong grasp of color theory, typography print production and principles of design.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional organizational, file management skills, and detail-oriented
- Confident multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Solid design and conceptual skills with an acute interesting current design trends.
- Bilingual English/French - verbal & written communication
- Graphic Design Experience (3+ years)
- Customer Service (1+ years)
- Print Production is an asset
