The Production Designer at our sustainability-focused agency plays a vital role in creating visually compelling and impactful designs for sustainability reports and websites. This position involves working closely with clients and team members to understand project requirements, conceptualize design ideas, and produce high-quality digital and print materials that reflect our commitment to sustainability. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, proficiency in design software (primarily InDesign and Illustrator), and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Responsibilities include ensuring that all designs align with the brand's visual identity, are user-friendly, and meet industry standards for accessibility and usability. Additionally, the Production Designer will support the full suite of our agency services, with a primary focus on web and report design. Staying current with design trends and technologies is essential to continually elevate the quality of our deliverables and effectively communicate our sustainability mission.
Your organizational skills and multitasking abilities will be essential in this role as you navigate the multifaceted world of creativity, sustainability, and the digital realm.

Collaborate with Lead Designers and team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
Produce high-quality digital and print materials, ensuring consistency with the brand’s visual identity.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project timelines.
Support the full suite of agency services, with a primary focus on web and report design.
Stay up-to-date with design trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the quality of deliverables.
A related degree or diploma and a minimum of 4 years work experience in digital, graphic, book layout and UX/UI design. High attention to detail and ability to self-manage and juggle priorities while working autonomously in remote situations is an absolute must
Self-Starter and Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary experts from conceptual strategy through to the execution of creative solution
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) and WordPress. Our workflows are in Google Drive, Google Suite, Harvest, Gmail, Slack and Asana. Familiarity or comfort in these types of software is necessary.
This is a remote position but R&G’s hours of operation are 9:00 to 5:00 AST or EST, so individuals located in the Eastern or Atlantic time zones would likely do best in this role. To be considered, ensure you have a reliable computer, high-speed wifi, and a distraction-free workspace. Our hiring process includes interviews with our Executive Team, reference checks, the Kolbe Assessment, and a paid trial or project. If you join our team, you can expect performance reviews at key milestones.
Location: Remote within Eastern or Atlantic Canada is preferred but not required.
