Paralegal Administrative Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Legal Support and Case Management:

- Conduct legal research on relevant topics, statutes, and regulatory matters.
- Assist the Legal Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Prepare and maintain legal files, including organizing and indexing documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in the management of legal cases by maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and monitoring progress.
- Coordinate with external counsel, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth case progression.

Administrative Support:

- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for office staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information and documents.
- Prepare expense reports.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for office maintenance.
- Prepare bank deposits and checks for signature.

Compliance and Regulatory Matters:

- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements applicable to the payment processing industry.
- Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and monitoring adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
- Assist in drafting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to implement and enforce compliance programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bilingual proficiency in both English and French is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- A diploma or degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
- Prior experience as a paralegal in a law firm, corporate legal department, or payment processing industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Good report writing skills in legal research tools and databases.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with the payment processing industry and related regulations is an asset.

Salary $45,000 - $50,000 / Year

Parajuriste/Adjoint administrative

Responsabilités:
Soutien juridique
- Effectuer des recherches juridiques sur des sujets, des lois et des questions réglementaires pertinents.
- Offrir un soutien au conseiller juridique et participer à l’ensemble des tâches relatives aux contrats.
- Effectuer l’ouverture, le classement papier et électronique, le suivi et l’organisation des dossiers.
- Se former en continu pour rester à jour quant aux lois, règlements, politiques et règles applicables liée au traitement des paiements électroniques.
- Aider à gérer des dossiers juridiques.
- Planifier et organiser les consultations ainsi que les rencontres avec des cabinets d’avocats externes.

Soutien administratif:

- Préparer l’ordre du jour et rédaction du procès-verbal des réunions
- Planification des déplacements corporatifs pour les employées
- Gestion de la réception (accueil, tri du courrier, tri de télécopieur et prise des appels)
- Préparer des rapports de dépenses
- Commander les fournitures de bureau
- Établir des rendez-vous pour l’entretien de bureau
- Préparation des dépôts bancaires et des chèques

Conformité réglementaire:

- Restez au courant des lois et législation liée au traitement des paiements électroniques
- Aider à la rédaction des politiques et des procédures pour assurer la conformité aux lois applicables et aux normes de l'industrie
- Collaboration avec nos départements internes pour créer et maintenir la conformité réglementaire de l'entreprise. Assister à la vérification du programme.

- Bilinguisme (français et anglais) requis
- Diplôme d'études collégiales à titre de parajuriste ou expertise équivalente requise
- Expérience de travail dans un cabinet juridique
