Leamington, Canada Caldwell First Nation Full time

**Job Summary**:
The Governance Executive Assistant (GEA) report to the Caldwell First Nation Chief and will provide a comprehensive, confidential professional administrative support to the Chief and Council. The GEA will work in a fast pace and high-volume workload environment.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide in-person administrative support to Chief and Council;
- Arranging and managing space bookings, hotels, and travel for Chief and Council;
- Providing additional support for meetings and managing notes, documents, and Council packages, and more;
- Taking minutes at Council meetings;
- Organize schedules and ensure no overlap of meetings with events or travel;
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail;
- Filing paper and digital copies of documents;
- Provide technical support for online or in-person meetings and able to troubleshoot when issues arise;
- Filing and archiving paperwork such as invoices and other documentation;
- Photocopying, printing, scanning, and faxing documents as required;
- Working with CFN Finance, track requisition payments for all office expenses;
- Demonstrated skills in report writing; technical document review; organizing meetings and events;
- Maintaining and sending out weekly calendar updates on the meetings;
- Experience working in an office environment;
- Able to work a flexible schedule including days, afternoons, nights and weekends;
- Able to travel as requested;
- Send out bulletins and updates to administration and membership.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in office administration, a related field, or a combination of education and experience;
- Previous experience working in a First Nation is an asset;
- Must have computer skills and proven experience with word processing, spreadsheets, file management;
- Must have valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license with reliable method of transportation;
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Experience in research and analysis;
- Proven to be accurate, timely, detail oriented, organized, a self-start and able to prioritize workload;
- Able to type 60 WPM;
- Other duties as reasonably required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leamington, ON N8H 1P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Work Location: In person
