**JOB POSTING**
**PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION**:
**RESPONIBILITIES**:
- Respond to emergency calls within Fort William First Nation
- Record client activities to ensure effective service delivery
- Provide at home welfare checks and emergency medical response to Elders and other at-risk individuals
- Provide community information sessions, programs and newsletters to promote the Medical First Response Team and Medical Knowledge
- Take every reasonable precaution to ensure safety and well-being of clients
- Work in a healthy and safe manner
- Perform other related duties as required
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Working in close proximity to COVID-19 positive cases are a possibility
- Overtime as required
- Must be able to deploy to address emergencies outside of FWFN and Thunder Bay area
- Must respond to calls in all types of weather
- Training will be provided
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Knowledge of the First Nation culture
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement, perform job duties with little supervision and problem solve
- Excellent organization, coordination, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, staff, community agencies and the public
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driving license
- Must complete a Vulnerable Records Check
