**Day Camp Counselor (full-time, temporary)**

Centre Greene is looking for several dedicated and caring animators for its Summer Day Camp program.
Your role as animator will include working with children, planning and leading activities, intervening with behavioural management as needed, ensuring camper safety in all activities, maintaining workplace cleanliness and organization, and developing interpersonal relationships with the campers and the other staff, This position reports to the Day Camp Coordinator and the Director of Programs.

**Employment Requirements**:

- Completion of secondary school, and have attained the age of majority in Quebec (18 years)
- Work experience in a related field is an asset
- Proficient spoken French and English
- First aid and CPR certified
- Warm and outgoing personality
- Punctual, well-organized and reliable

**Duties**:

- Assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of all daily/weekly activities in coordination with the Summer Camp Coordinator and Director of Programs
- Animate recreation programs for children participating in the Camp
- Enforce safety rules and regulations
- Assemble supplies and sports and game equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of program areas as well as organized work areas
- Ensure participant happiness and satisfaction in activities
- Participate actively in all games and activities
- Requires patience and a mature approach.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full time, 35-40 hours per week on a contractual basis, approximately 9 weeks.
- Work takes place between the hours of 8:00am 6:00pm weekdays.
- This is an extremely active job, with some physicality required and lots of outdoors time throughout the summer.
- Important to continuously monitor surroundings for client needs and/or safety of the building.

Le Centre Greene est à la recherche de plusieurs animateurs-trices dynamiques et bienveillants-tes pour son camp de jour d’été. En tant qu’animatrice-teur de camp de jour, ton rôle sera de travailler avec les enfants, de planifier et diriger des activités, d’assurer de la sécurité des participants dans les activités, de maintenir la propreté et l’organisation des espaces d’activité, et de développer des relations interpersonnelles avec les enfants et les autres membres de l’équipe de travail. Ce poste se rapporte au
Coordonnateur du Camp de Jour et à la Directrice des Programmes.

**Exigences**
- Avoir terminé le secondaire et être majeur (18 ans)
- Posséder une expérience de travail dans un domaine connexe (un atout)
- Anglais et français parlés
- Premier soins et CPR
- Personnalité engageante et chaleureuse
- Ponctualité, sens de l’organisation, et fiabilité
- Tous les employés du Centre Greene sont sujets à une vérification d’antécédents criminels

**Responsabilités et tâches**
- Aider à la planification, à la préparation et à la prestation de toutes les activités quotidiennes/hebdomadaires en coordination avec le coordinateur du camp d'été et la Directrice des programmes
- Animer des programmes récréatifs pour les enfants participant au Camp
- Appliquer les règles et règlements de sécurité
- Assembler les fournitures et l'équipement de sport et de jeu
- Maintenir la propreté des zones de programme ainsi que des zones de travail organisées
- Assurer le bonheur et la satisfaction des participants dans les activités
- Participer activement à tous les jeux et activités
- Nécessite de la patience et une approche mature.

**Conditions de travail**:

- Temps plein, 35-40 heures par semaine sur une base contractuelle, environ 9 semaines.
- Le travail a lieu entre 8h00 et 18h00 en semaine.
- Il s'agit d'un travail extrêmement actif, avec une certaine présence physique requise et beaucoup de temps à l'extérieur tout au long de l'été.
- Il est important de surveiller en permanence l'environnement pour les besoins des clients et/ou la sécurité du bâtiment.
